Using the app
How does recognition work?
Open Samaa and tap the mic on the Home screen. Point your phone at any Quran recitation — playing nearby, on TV, from a lecture — and the matched surah and ayah appear on screen as it plays, along with the Arabic text and translation.
Where do matches go?
Every verse you look up is saved to Bookmarks, grouped by day, so you can revisit it later without searching again.
Can I change the reciter?
Yes. Go to Settings → Default Reciter to choose which qari's voice plays for matched verses.
What is Tajweed practice?
Pick a matched ayah and recite it yourself — Samaa checks your recitation and highlights pronunciation and tajweed points to work on.
Subscription
What does Premium include?
Unlimited listening time and unlimited Tajweed checks each day, beyond the free daily limits.
How am I billed?
Premium is a monthly auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
How do I cancel?
On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select Samaa, and choose Cancel Subscription.
I resubscribed but Premium isn't active
Open Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app to re-sync your subscription status.
